Description
Classic 1989 Ford C8000. Plated for 16 ton with a 3208 Caterpillar 10.4 litre v8 diesel. It has only 2577 miles from new. Allison auto four speed transmission. Rockwell rear end. All in very good original condition inside and out. Still has the barcode stickers on the chassis, gearbox and engine. It was a de-icer unit built for the US Airforce. It’s now a chassis cab so an ideal base for a show truck or solid classic work horse. I have lots of paperwork for the truck dating back to its military service and lots of pictures of all the work I have done. Needs v5. Needs new filter and fluid in gearbox as will select first and reverse but will not shift up through the gears. Needs roof lining inside and prep and paint roof as just primer at the moment. Needs helper spring on cab tilt as one is missing, you can tilt the cab it’s just heavier than it would be with both springs. Had lots of fun over the last few years but unfortunately a change in circumstances means I have to sell before I can finish the last few jobs and get it Road registered. Viewing welcome.
